“Being There” is that elusive feeling when you are no longer just watching a screen, but become part of the story. Sound accomplishes this by building an entire world around the scene, paying as much attention to the atmosphere as to the action taking place.

 

   Iain Pattison, founder of Rogue Audio, has been chasing this feeling for over 25 years. Trained in Hollywood techniques by Hollywood professionals; completing well over 1000 films and television episodes of every genre, Iain “went rogue”, in 2015, leaving the studio system to freelance in western Canada and China where he continues to add to his multiple regional, national and international awards and nominations.
